Easter - Better late than never!

When you're so good at finding eggs, it makes it hard to hold on to them all!

Molly has, since Easter, named the lion "Grace" after one of her teachers at school.

Always in motion.  Always.

Please look at my incredibly hot husband.  It's really quite ridiculous just how hot he is.
And could Molly be any more adorable???  I think not!
I'm not proud of them at all, by the way...

First Hair Cut

Here we are before.  We went to Sweet & Sassy in Patton Creek.  We decided that it was best to have her sit in K's lap.  That usually cuts down on the screaming...for me too!
The first snip!  It was physically painful for Mommy & Daddy, but Molly didn't seem to mind.
BANGS!  How cute!

All done & adorable!
It was a fairly uneventful event.  Molly is a true little girl - loves having her hair done!

Molly's new trick

So, the other day, Daniel was feeling poorly.  To put a fine point on it, the man had his tonsils out.  No fun!  But what this meant to me was that I had to get up early to get ready before Molly woke up.  That way, I could get her up, get her ready, and we could get out the door without waking up a puny Daddy.

Apparently, the little sucker knew I was up to something.  She woke up early.  And I guess I just left her in her crib too long, because this is what I found: (You can imagine my surprise!)

Elmo's Runny Nose

Apparently, Elmo had a runny nose.  And he's got a little nose, so it only takes a tiny bit of tissue, as you can see.

Molly takes GOOD care of Elmo! But...where did that tissue come from?

Hmmm, that couldn't have gotten there all by itself!

Everybody knows - tissue comes from...

...Mommy's bathroom!  (It was all Elmo's idea!)

Sweet Olivia

My friend Lurenda has asked that we all post about someone who has changed my life for the better.  This is in honor of her sweet Olivia who would have turned 3 this past Friday.  Her short life touched many, including me.  So, this is for you, Olivia.

I'd like to tell y'all about my sweet husband, Daniel.  He's brought so much to my life that I desperately needed and didn't even know that I wanted.  He has brought me friendship and love, wholeness and faithfulness.  He has brought me inspiration and has challenged me in ways that I couldn't imagine.  He is talented, witty, funny, insightful, smart, protective, strong, caring, sensitive, thoughtful, and big-hearted.  He is an amazing husband and incredible father.  He tolerates his increasingly neurotic wife, cares for his precious daughter, and sails the high seas of family dysfunction (mine & his) like a weathered sailor - cautious, determined, protective of his domain, but flexible to the waves.  I have learned so much from him and cherish his partnership and love.

Thanks Lu for asking us to acknowledge those we love.

Guess Who Gets Ice Dream!

So.... Molly had a big day at school today!  She went "potty" for the first time!  Now, we're not expecting it to happen again any time, soon, but here's to hoping!  Naturally, she got a big prize.  Most of you know that Mommy is a stickler for little to no sugar for baby, but there are some exceptions!  We went to Jason's Deli and had dinner, and of course got our FREE soft serve Ice Dream, or whatever it is.  Somebody liked it VERY VERY MUCH!

Here comes the first bite...

We've been trying to figure out how to get her to make a kissy face.  Now we know...
Who needs a spoon?
Not when I've got a thumb!
Now, what you're NOT seeing is what happened when all the Ice Dream was gone.  It was not pretty, people.  Not pretty at all.  Thought you might enjoy the "Potty" Celebration!!

Breakfast of Champions

So this is the picture that did it.  I've been fighting the bloggy urge for months now.  I've been stubbornly holding my ground no matter what Kate said.  I've been feeling guilty that I haven't done a good job of keeping up with Molly's baby book.  I've used every excuse I could come up with to avoid starting a blog. And then this happened.  I had to share this one with everyone.  It's just too good.  And here's the story:

First breakfast: snack bar & milk
Second breakfast: raisins, peaches, whole wheat crackers, and milk
Third breakfast: more crackers
Fourth breakfast: eggs, bacon, milk & Merrells.

She'd eaten everything else in the house, okay?  We were out of food.  I hadn't been to the store yet, all right???  Nothing would satisfy her appetite!  I was at my wit's end... (sob, sob)

Okay, not really.  Molly really was eating Fourth breakfast (you would too if you could get away with it!).  She was wearing her shoes with her pj's and the next thing I knew her shoe was on her breakfast tray.  I love her precious little face and big, innocent, blue eyes, the fact that she's holding her fork and looks to be enjoying a perfectly normal breakfast.  And yes.  I totally let her eat the rest of her food with her shoe on her tray.

Welcome to the pile up...
